There may be no one who has contributed more to the ongoing slow collapse of Western Civilization than Klaus Schwab, the Teutonic wannabe dictator of the World Economic Forum, who wants the common man to “own nothing and be happy.” He was thrilled with the COVID-enabled opportunity for a “great reset” a few years, and even wrote a book about it.
A Pierre Poilievre Conservative government will eventually have to concede that they, contrary to their campaign promises, won’t be making quality-of-life matters any better for the average Canadian than they were/are under the federal Liberal-NDP minority government, after all. No better for ‘the little guy’, at any rate. Big business and the wealthy, however, will still be good, if not even better.
That Conservative government will conveniently blame it all on the preceding minority government’s supposed irreparable damage to the economy mostly via inflation – inflation that was actually caused by the pandemic, exploitive corporate greed, and Canada being helplessly economically attached to the U.S.
What will be done about the un-affordability of housing and even food, largely due to real-estate speculation and greed-flation, respectively? Nada. Excess commissions and bonuses via massive corporate profits must continue — and even increase.
There’s an unprecedentedly high percentage of residents who must rent and who’ll likely never make enough money to own their home in Canada. It’s fairly doubtful a money-first-minded Conservative government would be ideologically willing to place effective disincentives on investor speculation in the housing market, which makes unaffordable housing even more expensive.
What will be noticeably different, though, will be the thick austerity measures, disproportionately at the pain of those with the least. Combine all that with the unaffordability crisis, and you get a breeding ground for worsened economic conditions thus exacerbated human suffering.
This, while government subsidization of already-very-profitable corporations, especially the fossil fuel industry, remains untouched, if not increased — all under the guise of economic and/or job growth.
As for ethical integrity in governance, it's also predictable that a Poilievre Conservative government will commit their share of breaches. The difference will be an elevated level of secrecy via tight control over news-media access to ministers and the PMO, as there was with Stephen Harper's Tory governments.
It’s time to kick hard resisting these - globalists, leftists, communists, greenies, liberals, progressives - whatever you want to call them. I call them self appointed elitist wannabes. They achieve little, damage much. When you engage one in a conversation (rare that they can discuss their ideology) it’s a harsh reality for them to realize none of the modern lifestyle will be available with their plan for the world, they think all will be available for them. The total sinking of their brains into despair when they realize everything they want and use is dependent upon hydrocarbons is truly sporting fun. On the political front we need to kick these SOB’s out of office.
