Russell Quirk of Net Zero Watch in the UK just did a great interview of Andrew Montford, a British writer, and author of The Hockey Stick Illusion: Climategate and the Corruption of Science published in 2010.
It seems that the more grandiose projects appeal to the politicians. The latest concept is a web of wind generators and transmission lines in the North Sea. What is the cost/benefit of this concept? Was navigation and environmental damage considered? What is the impact on European grid stability?
Nothing would be better to increase transparency than to outlaw lobbyists providing any cash, donations, entertainment, meals, beverages - anything - to politicians and their staff. Tye corruption is immense.
Disagree. The corruption occurs when the elected official/legislator passes policy intentionally beneficial to the lobbyist’s cause. I do agree, however, with the views in the post that, here in the U.S., it is the Republican legislator who deserves the greatest scorn for corroborating with the Fascist Left to fleece the citizenry and diminish sovereignty. On either side of the pond, throw the bums out.
