Good article but do not underestimate the power of entrenched bureaucracy whose jobs and livelihoods, depend on the "fact" that fossil fuels are "evil". These people are backed by immense wealth in Environmental NGOs that existed for at least 50 years, the UN, World Bank and China. An uphill slog but worth every step!
The biggest challenge for the DOE will be to terminate employment for those who don’t, can’t, and won’t perform their duties as employees of the agency. The leftist ideology has so permeated the staff that it could take a near clean sweep to make the DOE functional. Chris is up to the task.

Trump will only be president for four years and he can expect the Democrats, the news media, the universities, and the rest of the leftist/industrial complex to fight him every step of the way. There is only so much that can be accomplished in four years. The real battle is for public opinion. If Trump, and others, can educate the public to understand what the left is doing, that is, as you said, destroying our energy infrastructure, then we can begin to win.
