I grew up in Zimbabwe and have lived and worked in several countries and settled in South Carolina and am proud to be a US citizen (as is my wife). I consulted as a Metallurgist for Kaiser and Alcoa around the World. In the poorest Countries in Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Europe I found the man in the street, waiters, cleaners, small businessmen etc where enthuastic supporters of Trump. As one moved up the hierarchy the elite despised him and what he stands for as he universally presents a real threat to their way of live and plastic belief systems! I believe the left in the US, pushed their agenda until voters of every race, gender and age said "enough of this crap"! The victory is tentative and we have to help him deliver on his policy promises.
It anyone thinks China is concerned about the climatocatastrophists agenda they are not just deluded but truly mentally incapacitated. China doesn’t give a rip about the western elites except for taking advantage of them in the economy, and they are!
There is no climate emergency. There is no causation by CO2 to any global warming. The grift is up and should come to the end of the federal treasury draining efforts. Europe is in serious trouble as they’ve taken a path that only leads to limited supply choices for energy to heat buildings and power factories. The result has been economic decline if not close to ruin.
The COP meetings are a total waste of time and money, money that taxpayers don’t need to or want to spend. As we bring in a new administration the challenge is not just self appointed elitists agency and department heads, but the under qualified staff as well. It wouldn’t be a bad thing to have a purge.
Jeff, there is one thing China does care about...air quality in their cities. I have been there a number of times starting in 1992. It is getting much better, but the air can still be truly terrible. Their plan is to build millions and millions of cheap but decent EVs that run on cheap coal fired electricity. Get the smoke away from people in the cities and put it out in the countryside with new coal plants and lots of air to dilute the remaining pollution. It is an intelligent policy and is exactly what I would do if I were them.
Sanity returns. Hand wringing from the CO2 Climate Cult. Drastically reduced virtue signalling budgets. Outstanding!
