Whoa! You got me again, Thomas. Twice in 2 days. When I saw the title, I immediately thought it would be about the states' (like Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota) ignoring the local counties' right to protect the property rights of their citizens if they choose not to allow wind or solar. I guess property rights are complicated. Very good article.

I believe in New York there's a new law that bypasses solar siting and wind siting local zoning laws and it's handled now by state committees so really in New York your property rights are taken away just another reason to leave before it's too late. And in Massachusetts we have a new law for anybody or town that is situated near the metropolitan Boston transit authority MBTA that takes away local zoning rights as far as apartment building in concentrated housing and the local zoning laws that govern that plus we're also in the process of adopting new york's renewable sighting laws so I'm hoping to leave this state and move to a more red state
