Good article. If only logic, common sense and economics mattered we would back away from the insanity of insisting on only BEV. Sadly, the Blue/Green nomenklatura has decided otherwise.
The niche for EVs hasn't changed since 1900. City cars, especially lfleet and delivery operations. Elon and the Gaians fooled the rest of the industry into seeking a broader niche that simply can't work. Elon will succeed because he has a cult, but the older companies will lose lots of money as Elon planned.
GM used to be the prankster who suckered the smaller companies into following unprofitable paths like Wankel. Now the old prankster has been pranked. Karma.
They make an ok commuter car. People still drive 25-30 year old cars out of necessity around us in middle Georgia. How is a mandate going to fit their budget. These overreaching actions without true legislation need to be stopped immediately!
