Hopefully we'll see some suits along this vein against CA, WA, et al for their EV and overly stringent emissions mandates that put similar economic pressures on manufacturers' prices of natural gas appliances, automobiles, water heaters, etc. Agriculture has a bone or two to pick, as well.

The next suit should be to impeach James and her cohorts requiring expulsion from the practice of law.

As an upstate New York attorney I thank the Attorneys General for their backbone and stamina in the commencement of this lawsuit.

I have been reading the complaint against New York State's Attorney General, Lettitia James, and I have been unable to find a listed cause of action which alleges that the New York State Statute is a prohibited Bill of Attainder or an Ex Post Facto law. I am no Constitutional expert but the actions of the State of New York seem to sound in the manner of a Bill of Attainder and maybe in Ex Post Facto.

The New York law targets a narrow and identifiable group for punishment ostensibly without Procedural Due Process a Bill of Attainder) and it also attempts to punish people for acts already committed before the law was enacted (an Ex Post Facto law). Both of which are explicitly prohibited in the main body of the US Constitution.

These acts of New York State illustrate what happens when a state has stopped teaching civics to its children for over 40 years and they then grow up to be public officials with no understanding or respect for law or the US Constitution.
