A RINO from North Dakota and a vacuous Democrat from Delaware have jointly proposed a horrible bill to choke U.S. agriculture by buying into a carbon tariff scam.
Politicians love paperwork, especially when they can demand it from somebody else. Can you imagine the time that would be wasted by trying to figure out how much "carbon" is emitted from everything a farmer (or any business) could possible do, use, or import? Instead of doing something productive, like what they want to do? So the rest of us have something to eat?
The reason the fertilizer is imported is that we choked the manufacturing of it in the US to death. We have the natural resources domestically to manufacture fertilizer, and we should. The entire concepts of ‘carbon’ anything by the woke mob is just plain stupid. The climate cult can’t discriminate between carbon and CO2, so they call it carbon. It is a confusion by idiots. We should focus on pollution not government subsidies that destroy life. But then, if you look at the climate cults overlord the WEF, you see that the carbon they want to destroy is us.
