The only use for all this overcapacity is zillions of batteries. Just in case 51% rate increases aren’t nearly enough, batteries can fix that. The cheap exported power from excess solar is cutting into the income streams of fossil plants in surrounding states. If those close down, where will California get the imported power it needs for 30% of its needs?
We have the worst State Government in the USA. They are paid functionaries of Sierra Club, unions, and “train to no where” type projects.
