Never going to happen. The laws will prevail. Maybe the producers decide to not do business in these states. Pain will fix this BS!

In the limit, energy companies will simply exit New York, as some have California.

Not sure how the legal challenges will pan out but taxing in arrears is a hidden tax.

It seems since the fall of bozo joe and failure of kamala the cackling concubine, hochul has deemed herself the inheritor of the ideocracy. She’s trying to one up governor goofball with outrageous policy. Could she be vying for the top dog democrat?

In my opinion it is all about the money. It is only a matter of time until Hochul is forced to admit how much her net-zero transition is going to cost. Using this money she can claim that New Yorkers will "only" have to pay the difference. She full well knows that NY will never see a dime of this but if it can get her through the next election cycle she wins.

Thank goodness she can flip flop. That is a political skill after all. Our problem in Massachusetts is we have a Governor who doesn't know how to flip flop. It feels a bit like Monty Python when the guys yells come back, I can bite off your ankles. I hope that is Gov Healy with nothing left but her yelling she is still powerful and relevant.
