The National Center for Energy Analytics (NCEA), where the great Mark Mills serves as Executive Director, issued a report titled “A Cost-Benefit Analysis of Using Direct Air Capture to Remove Atmospheric Carbon” by Jonathan A.
It’s unfortunate that there is no law requiring politicians to be rational. Rational people don’t believe in magical thinking like virtue signalling or politically correct speech.
Years ago, we were taught that rational governance had replaced ecclesiastical influence to the benefit of humanity yet today we have ideologues deciding scientific consensus beats reasoning from evidence.
We need more CO2 - not less. We also can’t capture CO2 in the appropriate economic fashion so as to make a profitable business. The projects underway at scale. So far the government giveaway programs are the only achievement, and that’s no benefit to taxpayers.
The CO2 capture “cartoon” doesn’t tell the whole story. It says filters capture the CO2 and chemically separate it from the air. And This Process Costs How Much?
It then says the filters are then heated to release the captured CO2. The Heat Is Sourced From Where? It Costs How Much To Create That Heat?
A question: At this point is the heated CO2 still a gas? I can only assume so.
So these people have a method of keeping the CO2 separate from the atmospheric air. Good.
So now they want to Sequester the CO2, but it’s not possible to sequester air, so another process is required. In that process the CO2 has to be cooled, and not just cooled. It has to be cooled to the point of becoming a liquid. And This Process Is Going To Cost How Much?
Are they thinking they can pump it down a gopher hole or I’ll it require a CO2 pipeline to??
They have located an aquifer big enough and deep enough where this CO2 can be stored.
It will need to be pumped down the hole (drilled hole) and then monitored (forever) And This Costs How Much (forever)
What might it take for this organization to Tell the truth, the whole truth?
Why are they going through this process when they probably already deep down know the truth. CO2 is God given plant food. CO2 was created even before man was put on this earth, because God knew that all the plants He created and placed on this earth needed to be fed, just like He was going to have to supply for man kind after He created them.
Or is it another case of “follow the money” - 45Q ? Are we the people being suckered?
Carbon capture and sequestration. Most CO2 capture will be done with energy from fossil fuels, not hydro, nuclear, or geothermal. That will produce more man-made carbon dioxide!! The problem of man-made CO2 being a pollutant does not exist. It is all lies of Al Gore, John Kerry, Michael Mann, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, etc. in the USA, and their counterparts in Europe,, Canada, and Australia. Our politicians at national, state/province and city levels promoting man-made global warming correction policies are totally our of their minds, worse that the Mongols or the Black Plague. Western Civilization has gone amuck.

There is already a direct air capture mechanism in place, functioning as designed, perfectly.
Plants, including trees! No construction necessary!
Quit removing them for wind and solar projects!
