It seems a shame that the regimes that work and give stability, are those we don't aprove of or wouldn't like to be subjected to. My old boss from years ago always said he would like to have lived in the medieval times. But then, he saw himself as one of the arisocracy. I don't think he would have enjoyed being a peasant.
Sounds to me like the 5 percent less fossil fuel produced energy isn't being compensated for by anything, especially "renewables."
Frankly,I don't see a whole lot of difference between Cuban Communists and American Progressives. They both deliver poverty and decline.
