The voters in California voted governor goofball in and then ratified their poor choice by backing him in a recall. No feelings of empathy for them. We should build a wall to keep them in California so as to not pollute the rest of the nation.
Does anyone know what the federal government can do about the behaviour of the California Air Resources Board? As I suspect a new Trump administration could without new legislation immediately revoke the waiver that lets California set its own emissions standards under the federal Clean Air Act altogether or only approve it with restrictions the CARB agrees to limits itself to its original remit of smog abatement balanced with what it technically (the range and ability to refuel) & economically feasible with an explicit limitation on the battery electric trucks due to the effect this has on interstate commerce.
Then isn't making agreements/pacts with other states let alone foreign countries (Memorandum of understanding between the California Air Resources Board and Environment and Climate Change Canada) unconstitutional without the consent of the federal government.
California is like a brilliant but mentally unstable family member who has refused to take their meds for too long...
