I’m glad somebody is finally using the word “build” in regard to these paper reactors. Everyone has a great idea for a new design, but until someone actually takes it critical, heats it up, proves their fancy new coolant isn’t going to chew through the pipes like Pac-Man, then puts some MVA on the grid, they’re just paper. These “nuclear startups” are a penny-a-pound; they’re reminding me of solar and wind grifters.

We know how to build nukes, large and small. The AP1000 and big BWRs seem uniquely suited and sized to the needs of a big “AI” facility. We should be building them by the dozen.

Until then, it’s just paper reactors soaking up paper money.

Glad to see Texas embracing nuclear R&D.
