And by & large, go those same emerging ‘challenges’ now being felt Down Under, all for the want of a sound, sensible, market driven Energy Policy that’s fair to all, including the Unreliables.
But, as in the US, no one’s listening… yet. But bring on those now imminent power shortages, better some good ‘ol fashioned Blackouts & reality won’t be far behind!
The time to start building new (reliable) generation to PREVENT those shortfalls is now. If we wait until blackouts happen, it will then take years to bring new generation online. But you’re right: our Democratic politicians aren’t listening. They still believe that wind and solar will solve all our problems. And I’m sure they have gas generators, so they’re not likely to suffer.
I share your views Kris. The pity of it is we don't have a 'problem' to solve in the first place. CO2 is not a pollutant, nor primary driver of so claimed global warming, aka climate change. On the contrary, it's a minuscule, invisible, odourless, tasteless atmospheric trace gas necessary for life on planet Earth. Without it we'd be dead. Sheer unmitigated madness of the nth degree.
