Jaguar's to destroy its brand has gotten a fair amount of attention already, but no one does a better job illustrating what a terrible mistake this was than Geoff of Geoff Buys Cars:
Car dealers used to be good at keeping customers happy. They did it for totally cynical and crass reasons, but that's how capitalism is SUPPOSED to work. Greed rechanneled into civilization and empathy. Now big business is solely focused on pleasing a few billionaire shareholders, whose needs and tastes are opposite to customers.
Jaguar is different from Bud Light since its normal customers are also in the millionaire class. ESG might be pleasing to the actual customers, not just the shareholders.
Jags break down more often than a Fiat, I think 🤔
Oh well - will they be missed? Kinda like bud lite.... plenty more where that came from!
Pompous British asses at their best!
