Placing wind and solar on the grid is a mistake. Placing them at the end user site is more appropriate; not just direct inertia but also full time generation reliabiiity. White technically feasible and achievable to place a DC generation source onto an AC grid is not cheap. Attention is required to keep the phase/frequency matched to the grid. Management of a local use wind/solar generation plant is much easier when placed at an isolated facility too. If course there would be no free government money to subsidize a local install. That may be the only way wind/sokar zealots learn the truth about cost.

This article seems to proceed from the basic assumption that CO2 levels in the atmosphere are already too high. It is instantly disqualifying the article, which does make valid points regarding so-called renewables and their shortcomings.
