Germans Fight "Heating Hammer" and CNN Fakes A Story That It's Fake News
Mainstream media such as CNN actively collude with corporatists promoting the climate cult as a lottery ticket redeemable for trillions.
Guest Post from David Blackmon at Energy Transition Absurdities.
No one does fake news better than CNN - that’s a given. This is a cable channel still pushing the Russia hoax years after it was debunked, still claiming from time to time that Hunter Biden’s laptop was Russian propaganda long after Hunter Biden himself confirmed its authenticity under oath, and which daily pushes the propaganda of the climate alarm movement as part of a coordinated public brainwashing operation.
On Thanksgiving day, CNN ran a piece about the controversy over government forcing of heat pumps onto the population in Germany written by Laura Paddison and Ella Nilsen. The piece is a classic narrative piece projecting the sins of the authoritarian German government onto the German citizens complaining about them. It’s the sort of story that is just a regular part of the daily grind at legacy media operations these days.
Here is how this story begins, and it is instructive:
It began with a law about heat pumps. It ended with stones being thrown at politicians and a surge in popularity for the far right.
For an example of how climate change is increasingly becoming a flashpoint in the culture wars, Germany is a good place to start.
A proposed law — championed by the Green Party, part of the coalition government — aimed to ban almost all new heating systems that run on oil and gas in favor of more energy-friendly heat pumps.
The backlash was swift and severe. Already stretched by soaring food and energy prices, many Germans feared the law would translate to huge upfront costs for homeowners — fears stoked and weaponized by the populist far right-party Alternative for Germany, or AfD.
Dubbing it Heizhammer — “heating hammer” — they framed the law as an unaffordable luxury pushed by the out-of-touch elite “moving into your house and deciding what you can and can’t do,” said Miranda Schreurs, professor of environment and climate policy at the Technical University of Munich.
“There was a lot of fake news,” she told CNN.
“There was a lot of fake news,” the carefully selected professor says.
Oh, really? Exactly what “fake news” are you referring to there?
Is it the part about the “unaffordable luxury” the heat pumps represent? Can’t be that, since the cost of heat pumps has been shown conclusively to be far above the natural gas or heating oil alternatives and completely unaffordable to vast swaths of the population.
Is it the part about the “out-of-touch elite”? No, can’t be that, since poll after poll after poll shows the publics oppose these mandates in every country where they’ve been implemented. Just ask Rish Sunak about that one if you don’t believe me. I mean, damn, CNN’s own ridiculous story admits the policy caused a “backlash” from the public that was “swift and severe.”
Is it the part about these out-of-touch elites “moving into your house and deciding what you can and can’t do”? No, can’t be that, since that’s exactly what they’re doing, complete with another mandate requiring smart meters so they can ultimately control how much you make use of your enormously expensive, inefficient new heat pumps.
So, where’s the fake news, you ask? It is with the carefully selected professor, who is herself an out of touch elite too dimwitted to understand what is happening in the world around her. And it is firmly ensconced at CNN headquarters and every CNN field office around the world, and it manifests itself in every story CNN publishes.
But don’t pick on CNN: In that, it is no different than about 95% of all other legacy media platforms still up and running today.

Heat pumps are the Covid vaccines of energy management- an attempt to force the one size fits all mentality.
Great article.
Heat pumps are being cut out stolen and resold like catalytic converters all over Germany.
