We should supply them with natural gas under long term contracts at escalating prices, with an upfront fee to cover all construction and regulatory costs, then upfront a fee for grief premium they’ve caused. No free lunch. I suspect the latest data center craze will crash around everyone’s feet - the question is when.

Excellent take -- the tech overlords want us to give up our data and intellectual property for free to feed their algorithms, and then they turn around and want us to foot the bill for their ginormous electricity demands. No freakin' way. There is nothing free market about that!

I have always said that big tech would solve it's own problems, faster than some would think. Let's not forget these are some of the richest men in the world who are used to getting what they want - many times at the expense of the rest of us and with big government's help. After all why do you think they had to kiss the ring on the "free speech" cancellations.

Still waiting to decide if this is a good thing or not, but we can rest assured gas plants will be built.

The free market is just a school yard nerd, waiting for the next bully to come along!
